Share Your Stories About a Horrible Employee (without naming names) with Us on Facebook

Horrible Bosses and Office Space portrayed some of the worst qualities in employers, from rampant egomania to workplace harassment. Isn’t it remarkable that this absolute incompetence can actually be the basis of a comedy?

You’re chuckling, albeit uneasily as you recall your own nightmares with unruly, unreliable, and unfortunately unavoidable…bad employees.

So imagine now that a filmmaker approaches you, asking if you would mind if she takes notes as you tell her stories about the characters you’ve hired. Don’t worry; you’re not being singled out. We’ve all wound up on a massage chair or therapist’semployee couch because of them—the Horrible Employees.

Credit Entrepreneur Magazine for inspiring this idea, and hopefully some of yours. Contributor Dixie Gillaspie (think her parents liked jazz much?) provides a fascinating and humorous list in 3 Destructive Employee Syndromes No Boss Can Tolerate. This article targets entrepreneurs, but no doubt you have lost time, sleep, and even hair because of these same types in your organization.

Read the article and share it with friends and colleagues. Then share your experiences with Horrible Employee Syndromes and your creative names for them with our Facebook community. Who knows? Your stories could inspire a new hit comedy.
